Terms and Conditions:
Custom Pre Order Propeller purchases require a 50% deposit with balance due prior to shipping. All deliveries are contingent upon strikes, accidents and delays beyond our control. Title ownership to remain in Hungshenprops.com until purchase price is paid in full. In case of payment default on account such payments shall be considered as liquidated damages for freight and other charges. Hungshenprops.com (HSP) offers propeller size suggestions free of charge, and are offered at the sole risk of the consumer. HSP assumes no liability for damages as to the outcome of our propeller suggestions. Orders placed pursuant to this quotation cannot be cancelled except with Seller’s consent. Should any litigation result from the sales or use of the item(s) quoted, the venue for said litigation shall be in Skagit County, Washington, and this litigation shall be construed under the laws of the State of Washington. If a product or item purchased is found to be defective or unsatisfactory, you must notify Hungshenprops.com within 30 days of receipt. No returns will be accepted without prior authorization. Defects will be reported to the Manufacturer for repair or replacement as deemed appropriate by the Manufacturer. Hungshenprops.com does not assume any liability for Manufacturer defects or errors.
Product Warranty:
Each manufacturer will warrant their product individually. Warranty for all products is limited to the actual warranty extended to Hungshenprops.com from their suppliers. The use of this website is solely at your own risk. This website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Descriptions regarding products are provided for reference only. HSP advises all clients to check with individual manufactures of products and/or marine mechanics respectively to insure proper fitments.
Vessel Performance:
Many factors influence a vessel’s hull resistance including design, weight and trim. As Hungshenprops.com has no control over these factors, HSP is not able to guarantee the vessels performance. HSP is however able to accurately predict the performance of its propellers and, given complete and accurate vessel data, is able to make comments in relation to the vessel’s estimated performance. These comments are provided without charge and should be taken as general advice only. Issues relating to vessel performance should be directed to the vessel’s designer. HSP utilizes professionally qualified Naval Architects and Engineers who are available to work with the vessel designer assisting in selecting the optimum propulsion equipment for the vessel. Due to reasons stated above, it is sometimes necessary to make adjustments to propellers to suit the individual vessel and this work is at the client’s cost. Hungshenprops.com assumes no liability for any expenses related to downtime, haul outs, propeller removal or replacement, or shipping charges.
Cavitation’s Erosion:
These same factors may adversely affect our propeller’s cavitation profile leading to damaging cavitation erosion. Although our designs have proven to be very good at controlling damaging cavitation, we are unable to guarantee that other aspects of the installation won’t adversely affect these design characteristics leading to erosion.
Delivery Dates:
The Delivery Dates provided by HSP are estimates only and represent the date the propellers will be ready for dispatch from HSP (ex-works). HSP does not guarantee it will always be able to meet the delivery date. Due to the nature of propeller manufacturing and processes out of our control, on rare occasions delays may arise during the manufacturing process which may require a replacement propeller to be manufactured. HSP advises all clients to allow the maximum time possible when ordering propellers and to regularly check with HSP as to their progress.
Anti-singing Edges:
Singing is a term used to describe a high pitch noise sometimes generated by harmonic resonance emanating from the propeller. It is generally associated with slower speeds however can persist throughout the RPM range being more noticeable at certain speeds. HSP supplies its propellers with a generic anti-singing trailing edge. This feature is intended to cause the water flowing off the blade to separate at different points which tends to reduce the chance of the propeller singing. Due to the many variables affecting water flow into a propeller, HSP is unable to guarantee this generic feature will prevent singing in all applications. Singing can often be eliminated by making small adjustments to the anti-singing edge; however, this is work at the client’s cost.
Vibration:
All custom propellers are manufactured using the latest CNC techniques guaranteeing all aspects of propeller geometry are accurately repeated from blade to blade within required ISO classifications. HSP engineers are able to suggest certain designs to improve the operating smoothness of its propellers. Even so, aspects of the propeller installation such as shaft angle and bracket design affect the inflow of water to the propeller which can affect the smoothness of operation. The general configuration of the propulsion system along with these inflow characteristics often result in a change in individual blade pressures as it operates through each propeller revolution. The proximity of the propeller to the hull and rudder can also affect vibration levels often at blade pass frequency. This frequency may result in resonance within the vessel structure which can result in an amplification of the measured vibration, due to the complexity of vessel design.
